MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Multiple sclerosis (M.S.) is a disease that affects the central nervous system, and the amount and level of assistance your loved one requires can vary from person to person, and from day to day. We can help you create a routine and manage the myriad symptoms of M.S.

At Partners in Care, we create a detailed Plan of Care tailored to your loved one's specific condition and needs. When we have determined the right services, we'll assign a specially trained home health aide or skilled nurse, depending upon the type of care you need or desire, to help you prevent complications before they develop and ease the stress on every member of the household.

A typical plan may include:

  • Helping you follow a customized exercise regimen that can help limit pain and discomfort caused by MS.
  • Creating sleep strategies to help you deal with the muscle spasms that cause insomnia.
  • Supporting family members as they deal with the stress that accompanies an MS diagnosis.
  • Alerting you to the warning signs of MS and how to reduce them.
  • Accompanying you to medical appointments.

Partners in Care is the exclusive provider of home care services for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York City - Southern New York Chapter.
